about the author: BENI WILLIAMS, 29

I was born in Exeter dead on 1990. Aged 9 I moved to Brixham in Devon with my family and have lived in the same house for 21 years, apart from a brief 7-month spell in my own flat with a friend.

My interests include geography, history, UK politics, geopolitics and outer space.
I have worked for a supermarket for the past 11 years, but I do have college diplomas in Travel and Tourism.

I have a few dreams I would like to achieve one day like visiting Japan and (if I can improve my singing) represent the UK at Eurovision.

I live by two mottos;
- Be who you are and not who others want you to be.
- It is better to forgive and forget than to forget to forgive.

If I can give a bit of advice to you, it is this: Always have your friends and family beside you as they can be a great help when life gets challenging. You can also be a great help to them. Be a shining light in the darkness.
